Facilities and Equipment

Our recently commissioned Process R&D suite, designed and installed by Kottermann GMBH, houses the latest automated process research equipment. These include Multimax equipment from Mettler-Toledo Autochem, routinely employed for in-depth studies which require continuous uninterrupted operation such as crystallisation metastable zone width studies. Our general laboratory equipment also includes equipment for rapid screening of parameters and conditions, such as modified Stem Omni Reacto stations and Radleys Carousels.

At Park Place Research we also have an extensive range of controlled pumping and dosing equipment, including precision syringe pumps, peristaltic pumps and gear pumps, which can be interfaced for monitoring of addition rates in conventional batch reactors or residence time behaviour in:

We have a range of Huber Unistats which provide excellent temperature profiling capabilities from -75°C to +200°C. Our range of jacketed and vacuum jacketed all-glass reactors is extensive and the modular nature of our equipment enables us to mimic a wide range of plant configurations.

We routinely design and engineer items of equipment to investigate and study mixing and residence time behaviour. Our in-process analysis and data monitoring capabilities are produced to the highest standards. The Park Place Team regularly integrate predictive reaction modelling using statistical and kinetic tools, in conjunction with thermodynamic information.

Our capabilities in Process Analytical Technologies are continually expanding .Presently developments into the study of systems which are reactive and can feedback in real time to ensure reliability of product quality. Our “in-house” research and academic collaborations are directed towards widening our technology base to include advancements in microfluidic and microwave flow applications.
